Top kill stops leak; Obama targets offshore drilling
This is the type of thing that just totally annoys me and why I am an avid fan of the electric vehicle.
No; the energy source of the electric vehicle may not be the most ideal option out there, but think about it this way: Upgrading the power source of an electric vehicle is simple; just change the power module. Try changing out the power source of a gasoline vehicle, and you have a problem.
When I was little, I remember watching the CNN News about the Exxon Valdez spilling oil. I felt such pain for the ocean, and, from that time on and even before that, I have had such respect for our little blue speck we call home in our galaxy.
Another thing... Obama wouldn't have had to target the oil companies if we were energy-independent. With the trillions of dollars that we have spent in Iraq, we could have overhauled the entire country's infrastructure, generating jobs and strengthening the country.
By drilling for oil in other countries, we are only supporting economies that may be, unknowingly, supporting terrorism.
So feel free to fill up your V8 SUV and support terrorism with black, oily blood.
